How to Wash Your Face at Night
Washing your face is not as easy as you can imagine. There is a right and a wrong way of cleaning your face. Before you apply makeup to go to bed, ensure that your face is dirt free, toned and moisturized. This is important because your skin renews faster as you lay in bed. This article aims at making this seemingly tedious procedure simpler for you. Just follow these steps:
Step 1;
Do not use hot water to wash your face as this practice
results in dryness. Cold water on the other hand is not capable of picking up
all the grime. Lukewarm water produces the best outcome.
To avoid losing too much moisture from your skin, use a
cream cleanser. If you have a thick layer of makeup, a gel cleanser or makeup
remover may be better for you. Use a soft towel to pat your face, rather than
rubbing. If you rub, you stretch your skin and this results in creases.
Step 2;
Apply a little amount of toner on your face using a cotton
ball. Pay special attention to areas that are prone to pimples and oiliness.
Step 3;
Apply your favorite serum. Most anti-aging and moisturizing
serums should only be used at night. They make your skin more delicate and the
sun will make it worse, not better. Also, try to use serums sparingly.
Step 4;
Apply moisturizer. Choose a thicker moisturizer when going
to sleep. During the day, opt for a moisturizer with sunscreen or Sun
Protection Factor.
Step5;
Focus on problem areas. These include around the eyes and
oily spots. For the eyes, use eye cream. As the eye cream settles, gently
massage the parts that are more prone to grease to open the vents. Do this for
a few minutes. Apply makeup if need be.
Do this each and every night and you will notice a better
and smoother face within months, or even weeks. Washing your face is the first
step towards a more rejuvenated skin, which can lead to confidence and boldness
in life.
